तारीफ़ means praise. Here, it’s a friend’s voice.

Recommendations that don’t get lost.

Your friends send you films, songs, books, food and places with a quick voice note. Taareef keeps every one, for years, until you finally try it and tell them they were right.

Free. Works over WhatsApp, even if your friends don’t have the app yet.

How it works

Three steps. Years apart, sometimes.

  1. Recommend

Pick a film, song, book, dish or place. Hold the button and tell them why, in your own voice. Send it in the app or as a WhatsApp link.

  2. It waits

It lands in their inbox like a letter in a keepsake box. A month, a year, five years: it’s still there, still in your voice.

  3. Tried it

When they finally watch, listen or go, they tap Tried it and send a reply. That “you were so right” is the whole point.

Voice, in any language

Say it the way you’d say it.

Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, English, or all four in one breath. Every voice note gets a transcript, so it can be read on mute, on the metro, years later.

  • Hindi · Ananya“ये गाना सुनो जब तुम ट्रेन में हो, खिड़की के पास।”
  • Hinglish · Priya“Arre ye film dekh, seriously. Hasi bhi aayegi aur rona bhi.”
  • Tamil · Kabir“இந்தப் படத்தை மழை நாளில் பாருங்க. ரொம்பப் பிடிக்கும்.”
  • English · Arjun“Episode one is slow. Episode two, you won’t sleep.”

Tell a friend what to watch, read, hear or eat next.

Paste a link or type a name, say why in a voice note, and send it. Friends can play it on WhatsApp, no app needed.
